I found a repository and a commit in which the author has implemented support for ModLoader (judging by the commit’s title and description).
I thought you might be interested in taking a look at this feature, as it’s in high demand amongst people who install mods.

However, I’m not asking you to implement it, as I can still enjoy the game without ModLoader.
If you feel keen and are able to implement this feature, I’m sure the community will be grateful. If you don’t implement it, that’s fine too.
Unfortunately, the author of this repository has not taken ordinary users into account at all, as they have not published a single release or set up a build process for the project.
