hello,

i'm a long time (20+ years) salamander user, the only thing i was having a problem with was persian/arabic characters in salamander and it was the main reason i couldn't recommend it to many of my friends and relatives

with the announcement of salamander being made open sourced and the long awaited unicode support finally being added i was so happy but they never made a binary release, i'm not technical enough to build from source so that was that

today i was just casually searching for salamander as one does and i saw your project was mentioned in their website and saw that you have binary releases and the rest was history, i love your project and appreciate your work, stuff like this is why i love open source community so much, keep up the great work and thanks again

as an aside i've also seen https://github.com/KRtkovo-eu-AI/salamander mentioned in that same page, not sure how it compares to your fork but i guess it doesn't matter since both of them do what i want

thank you @junguler . I am too Middle Eastern and been using Servant Salamander -> Altap Salamander -> Open Salamander -> Sally since 1996 or so.

Now with Sally, I have been slowly working on Unicode support.

Please test with Arabic/Persian and report and create new issues: https://github.com/0xeb/sally/issues as needed.

thanks, i've already recommend your fork to several people and they seemed happy with it but i will make sure to let you know of any issues or suggestions i might have
